The name Qorso is derived from Italian meaning “the current path, current state, or current course of direction”. The founding technologists are all big fans of da Vinci and the Renaissance period that spawned innovations and educational pursuits that helped usher the world from the Middle Ages to the Modern Era. Although the Renaissance saw revolutions in many intellectual pursuits, as well as social and political upheaval, it is perhaps best known for its artistic developments and the contributions of such polymaths as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, who inspired the term “Renaissance Man”. We believe the world is going through another enlightenment period technologically, socially, and economically that will usher in a new age and propel us all into an exciting new future.
The “Q” theme kept crossing the paths of the founding technologists in opportunities, descriptions, and everyday conversation so the “Q” was eventually implemented as part of the logo. Qorso Technology was started by Quants, mathematical elites that programmed predictive analytics and forecasting models for large financial, investment, and government enterprises. “Question everything” in regard to the old ways of building technology platforms and applications is a core filter our development teams use when approaching a new project. Quality is a core value for our deliverables. Qorso products have Query capabilities that are innovative and game-changing in how they can predict the future for our clients based on current data sets and lets our clients recognize patterns that previously went unseen.
The logo represents a hybrid of our global reach, our upward path, and a subtle play on the “Q” theme. It is also symbolic of potential energy converting to game-changing kinetic energy in the dynamic of the Spring graphic; a presentation of a great new idea springing forth, and the elevation and accomplishment of our clients’ visions as our sole mission.
